Welcome back to day 2 of “5 days of love”.
This canvas has been in my head for several years and I finally found the time to create it. I hope you will give it a try this year and not wait to do it sometime later! It was very simple to make and I will be gifting this to someone special on Valentine’s Day.
Supplies:
6 x 6 canvas
Mod-podge
Paint brush
Acrylic paint, I used pink
Printed paper
Paper flowers, I used 5 kinds
2 stencils
Spray, I used gold (also know as Mist)
Modeling paste
Palette knife
Hot glue gun
Blow dryer or heat gun, helps speed things up!
(A few of the supplies)
Directions:
Cut two printed papers 5.75 x 5.75 inches (I used the same print for both)
Mod-podge one cut paper onto canvas
Cut a heart shape from second piece of printed paper
(you now have three cut printed papers, one heart and two 5.75 x 5.75)
Hot glue flower pieces onto heart shape
Place stencil onto the second piece of cut printed paper
Spray lightly all over the stencil
Dry
Place the other stencil on dried printed paper and spread randomly on the outer portions of the canvas being sure to smooth the modeling paste evenly.
Gently remove stencil and wash immediately
Dry modeling paste
Mod-podge the second 5.75 x 5.75 piece of paper to canvas, leaving some of the edges unglued and allowing some of the top paper to lift away from the canvas. Roll back some edges as seen in photo.
Paint the sides and edges of canvas
Hot glue the flower heart onto the stenciled paper
Dry brush a bit of pink paint randomly on flowers, try not to overdo this
Open spray using the end of the tube flick lightly over the canvas.
Now you are done!
Enjoy and see you tomorrow for day 3!
