Today we continue with the mason jar theme.
Here is another way to dress up a jar and give it a new purpose.
This jar was created by Tracy. She used chalk paint (not to be confused with chalkboard paint) and covered the outside of the jar. Once the jar was completely dried she then gently sanded the raised areas to give a worn/distressed look.
Next, Tracy added twine and a few trinkets along with a tag and her jar was done!
At this point you can use the jar as is. It would be a nice touch to add a battery operated tea light or some small twigs/branches to the jar. If you are having fun at this point, you could make a grouping using various size of jars and they don’t have to be all mason jars.
Remember last week Tracy decorated five jars with twine and lace?
Here is a photo of her two projects.
Thank you Tracy for sharing your beautiful creations and being a part of our Technique Tuesday! We can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
The Speckled Feather carries chalk paint that is made by Elyse. There are several color options available and she will even do a custom order! (Like she did for Tracy)
